Job Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will help build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and PostgreSQL. This is a great opportunity to work with modern backend technologies and grow under the guidance of experienced developers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of backend development experience
- Good understanding of Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Express.js
- Practical knowledge of PostgreSQL and basic SQL queries
- Familiarity with building RESTful APIs
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Willingness to learn and work in an Agile/Scrum environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and PostgreSQL
- Design and write efficient, clean SQL queries
- Work on API development and third-party integrations
- Use tools like Postman and Swagger for testing and documentation
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices
- Support deployment tasks and CI/CD processes
- Collaborate with senior developers and other team members
Good to Have:
- Exposure to NestJS, Redis, or MongoDB
- Basic knowledge of Docker, AWS, or cloud platforms
- Interest in scripting or automation (Shell, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Git, and Confluence
