Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and requirement traceability documents.
• Understand and document as-is and to-be business processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, automation opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
• Conduct client meetings and, when required, visit client locations to understand business processes, gather requirements, and clarify project objectives.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for product and engineering teams.
• Create wireframe-level flows, process diagrams, data dictionaries, and API/interface requirement specifications in collaboration with designers and technical architects.
• Work closely with Product Owners and engineering teams to groom, clarify, and prioritize product backlogs.
• Support Agile delivery by clarifying requirements, resolving functional queries, and participating in sprint-related discussions.
• Collaborate with QA teams to prepare UAT scenarios and validate developed solutions against business requirements.
• Support defect triage, UAT execution, stakeholder feedback, and client sign-off activities.
• Analyze product usage data and client feedback to identify enhancement opportunities and recommend improvements.
• Prepare functional documentation, release notes, user guides, training materials, reports, and other project documentation.
• Generate reports and presentations to communicate business findings, requirements, and proposed solutions effectively.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support pre-sales activities through requirement analysis, solution notes, technical proposal inputs, and effort estimation.
• Monitor implemented solutions, gather stakeholder feedback, and recommend enhancements based on evolving business needs.
• Adapt effectively to changing project scope, priorities, timelines, and business requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis within software products, IT services, digital transformation, or enterprise technology environments.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent knowledge of preparing BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirement traceability matrices.
• Strong understanding of business process modeling, workflows, BPMN, and process improvement methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other business analysis or project management tools.
• Good functional understanding of web and mobile applications, APIs, databases, and software development processes.
• Basic knowledge of SQL is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, users, developers, QA teams, architects, product managers, and senior management.
• Strong presentation and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective relationships across diverse teams.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel to client locations for requirement-gathering sessions, meetings, workshops, and project discussions when required.

Good to Have

• Experience in healthcare, education, government, e-governance, or enterprise automation domains.
• CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent Business Analysis certification.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis and visualization tools.
• Exposure to UX/UI design collaboration and wireframing.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals, solution notes, RFP/RFI responses, or pre-sales documentation.
• Understanding of AI/ML-enabled products and digital transformation initiatives.
